Tour promo 'active' 17 days € 1.363,- pp
You fly from Amsterdam or any other airport with a scheduled flight of your own choice. Filitravel buys the ticket for you and the bill goes at the cost.
You will be met at Manila Airport and taken to your downtown hotel. We have chosen The Lotus Garden hotel, a hotel in the old center of Manila. It is a neat hotel with clean rooms and very friendly staff.
Manila offers numerous very interesting things for the visitor: the Spanish fort Santiago, the oldest church in the Philippines San Augustin, Rizal Park, many shops with attractive prices and especially many people.
Day 3 to 5
With a guide and private transport you travel from Manila to the rice terraces in the Cordillage Mountains. You walk through the ancient terraces of Banaue and see the hanging coffins on the mountain walls of Sagada. The overnight stays are planned at Native Village Inn, a resort built in the style of the original Ifugao people. If you prefer something more luxurious, you can also opt for a stay at the Banaue Hotel.
On the last day you will be driven back to Manila and you will stay at the Bayleaf Intramuros Hotel again. It is a tiring journey but definitely worth it!
Day 4 to 7
You will be picked up from the hotel and taken to Manila Airport. With a domestic flight you go to the place Cebu. Here you will be met at the airport and a minibus will take you to the town of Moalboal on the west coast of the island of Cebu. A few active days start: in addition to the excellent diving possibilities, Moalboal offers the opportunity to stretch your legs with 'outdoor activities'. In groups you can climb and descend river gorges, mountain bike in the area and much more. You simply have to see the Kawasan waterfalls: a short walk through the forest brings you to this beautiful place. You stay right by the sea at the Tipolo Beach Resort and your host Jochen takes good care of your well-being.
Day 10 to 13
From Moalboal you will be taken by car to the small seaport of Sibulan and with a ferry you make the short crossing to the island of Negros. Here you will be met and driven to the Thalatta Resort on the south coast of the island.
Negros offers visitors a unique look at the 'original' Filpijnen: the island found its income from the cultivation of sugar cane and the worldwide consumption of sugar has declined sharply. Now people are busy finding other forms of existence.
Tourism focuses mainly on the coastal towns of this island: the dive sites are unique. The area around Apo Island is a marine nature reserve and seeing sea turtles is almost normal for divers and snorkelers. The Twin Lakes are the natural drinking water supply of the island and the rainforest around these lakes is breathtaking. The local market of the town of Malatapay should be seen if you are in the area.
Day 12 to 14
From Negros you go by boat to the town of Tagbilaran on the island of Bohol. Here you will be met at the seaport and taken to your resort.
Bohol has a nice sandy beach with many resorts and restaurants and at the same time the interior has a lot to offer in the form of the Chocolate Hills, the Baclayon church, the Loboc river. Very special to see are the smallest monkeys in the world: the Tarsier monkeys. If you wish, you can go out to sea to see the dolphins or you can decide to sail a little further and watch the Whale Sharks.
The nights are planned at the Lost Horizon Resort on the beach of Alona Beach. It is a neat resort in the middle of the 'life' of Bohol.
You will be taken to Bohol airport and with a domestic flight you will return to Manila. Our driver will take you to the Lotus Garden Hotel for a final overnight stay in the Philippines. You can also choose to stay the last night on the island of Boracay (equal price). That of course means that the next day will be a tough travel day.
Day 16 and 17
Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Manila airport for your international return flight. The next day you will arrive in your departure airport again.
